La Semaine de la Bonté relies on a network of social workers, reviewing cases of people in difficulty each week. In 2025, nearly 877 requests were processed, with an aid rate of about 70%, primarily focused on mobility, particularly car repairs.
This assistance addresses a concrete reality: without a vehicle, many people in rural areas lose their jobs or independence. The association also intervenes in training by funding essential equipment, often not covered by public programs.
With the goals of supporting integration, preventing job loss, and restoring confidence to families in difficulty.
The amounts granted remain modest, around 170 to 200 euros per case, but their speed of allocation makes a difference. “The application arrives on Monday, it is reviewed on Tuesday, and the check will be sent out the following week,” they specify.
The impact of the association goes far beyond one-time financial aid, with a helping hand that can change everything. “It’s about consideration. We consider that you have social value. It means we believe in you, we believe that you have the capacity to integrate, to get out of welfare, to get out of unemployment,” conclude Daniel Ploix and Gérard Roulet.
