La Semaine de la Bonté relies on a network of social workers and reviews cases of people in difficulty every week. In 2025, 877 requests were processed. About 70 % of them resulted in assistance. This support mainly concerns mobility, particularly car repairs.
This assistance addresses a concrete reality: without a vehicle, many people in rural areas lose their jobs or independence. The association also focuses on training by funding essential equipment, often not covered by public programs.
The association aims to support integration, prevent job loss, and restore confidence to families in difficulty.
The amounts granted remain modest, around 170 to 200 euros per case, but their speed of allocation makes a difference. "The application arrives on Monday, it is reviewed on Tuesday, and the check will be sent out the following week ," they specify.
The impact of the association goes far beyond one-time financial aid. This small help can change everything. "It’s about consideration. We consider that you have social value. It means that we believe in you, we believe that you have the capacity to integrate, to get out of welfare, to get out of unemployment,” conclude Daniel Ploix and Gérard Roulet.
