“We have a fairly broad scope of action in terms of themes and causes,” explains Lucas Lefebvre, “as we work on issues related to the fight against gender inequalities, environmental protection, territorial fractures, combating harassment, sports, seniors, and disabilities, with the idea of bringing together different actors each time, creating a collective to try to have an impact that matches the scale of the issues related to these various topics.”
A foundation, Make.org Foundation, born from a company, Make.org, which addresses issues related to participatory democracy and offers tools and services for local authorities and businesses to engage citizens and employees on public policy and internal strategy matters. Make.org aims to be a connector between the various actors already working on these issues.
“For each of our programs and themes, we systematically start with a consultation and build each of our projects based on one of the expectations expressed by citizens,” specifies Lucas Lefebvre.
Citizens are called to get involved through communication campaigns on social media. As for associations, they are invited to propose initiatives and projects. Make.org Foundation will then conduct an analysis and consultation process to identify projects that seem potentially impactful and on which it believes it can provide assistance.
“The idea will be to support them through various levers, from project management to fundraising, as well as obtaining additional skills and communication partnerships, to enable them to go as far as possible,” concludes Lucas Lefebvre.
