After founding Singa, a non-profit organization aimed at promoting the integration of refugees by creating bridges between local communities and displaced individuals, Guillaume joined Impact Partners. As a partner, he is establishing the first investment fund in Europe focused on the inclusion of newcomers.
In this interview, Guillaume Capelle explains why there are advantages to hiring a refugee.
From his perspective, it enhances diversity and stimulates creativity, while also improving the company's reputation regarding social responsibility. According to Guillaume Capelle, today’s employees seek meaning in their work and want their company to make a real impact.
Some European countries, like Germany, have successfully welcomed many refugees. This is true for Syrians who arrived during the 2015-2016 crisis; after about 7 years in the country, over 50% of these individuals have been employed.
Guillaume Capelle asserts that there are no barriers for companies to hire a refugee; on the contrary, it allows them to meet skill needs that they might not find otherwise.
