In France, many events are dedicated to specific causes or sectors, whether it’s the fight against certain diseases, technological innovation, or major environmental transitions. However, there was no large-scale event dedicated to the issue of equality in all its dimensions.
“We wondered why there wasn’t an event that brings together all the solutions related to equality and the fight against discrimination. There are many problems, but there are also countless people who are taking action and providing solutions.”
It is this desire to highlight positive initiatives that gave birth to Uniques. More than just a festival, the event aims to be a space for meetings, opportunities, and experiences where everyone can find resources suited to their situation.
Over several days, visitors can discover associations, meet recruiters, benefit from coaching or mentoring sessions, participate in practical workshops, and access numerous support programs.
Employment and professional integration play a significant role in the programming. For example, speed recruiting sessions allow participants to engage directly with recruiters, while interview preparation workshops, confidence-building sessions, and training discovery workshops open new perspectives for those looking to build their professional future.
But the Festival Uniques is not limited to this dimension. The organizers also address a variety of topics such as ecological transition, future jobs, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, mental health, and access to rights.
The festival is also distinguished by its cultural and artistic dimension. Concerts, performances, artist interventions, and participatory activities enliven the event and help create a friendly atmosphere where exchanges happen more naturally.
For Chloé Sebagh, the ambition of the Festival Uniques goes far beyond a few days of programming.
“We want to create a sustainable movement around equality. We want everyone to leave with a direction, a solution, a connection, or simply more confidence in their ability to take action.”
In a society faced with multiple social, territorial, and economic fractures, the Festival Uniques aims to become an annual event capable of bringing together very different audiences around a shared conviction: equality is not decreed, it is built collectively.
