Ostara supports women victims of all forms of gender-based and sexual violence, including psychological, verbal, physical, administrative, and economic abuse. By first listening to them, and by organizing workshops, as well as raising awareness and training for professionals, social workers, specialized educators, and emergency accommodation facilities, we aim to facilitate the guidance of women who are victims of violence.
Ostara collaborates with CCAS, medical-social centers, victimology centers, hospitals, and cultural associations.
The organization is also convinced that the workplace, where people spend most of their day, is a key place to detect violence, whether professional or occurring in the victims' private lives.
“We hope that our work with women will lead to shorter victimization periods, thus having a lesser impact on their health, work, and private lives,” explains Morgane Craye. “We also aim to advocate for real proposals to our local elected officials to potentially change laws, offer new services to victims, and establish new rights, changing the entire way we think about violence—not as individual issues but as systemic ones, where we all have a role to play, as witnesses, as citizens, and as elected officials.”
