After volunteering with homeless individuals in Madrid, Launet Gallas noticed a lack of coordination regarding access to the services available to these people. Moreover, to her surprise, she discovered that despite the common perception, most of these individuals owned a smartphone.
This is how Llum Social was born, centralizing all information and resources on an interactive map and allowing access to prepaid products from partner stores.
“Traditionally, homeless individuals have been left behind, also digitally. We leverage new technologies to provide updated solutions to the sector, to reduce the digital divide and change the intervention paradigm in these situations,” explains the founder and CEO of Llum Social, who hopes this service will soon operate throughout Spain.
