Between the ages of 13 and 25, our professional future starts to interest us but also to worry us. Choosing a field, a profession for future studies… This is also an age where self-confidence is limited and doubts are strong.
Founded in 2007 by Philippe Hayat and Le Club Horizons, 100 000 entrepreneurs helps young people find their way: “Often, they tell us, I am not good enough, I won’t be able to do this,” confirms Béatrice, adding that the primary role of the association is to prove to these young people that they have the possibility to do what they want: “You are graded, you are put into boxes, you are guided, and that can be a very heavy backpack that you carry throughout your youth and sometimes even your entire life. We try to lighten that backpack a bit and tell them: you have your whole life ahead of you.”
With the help of volunteer entrepreneurs, the association intervenes in middle and high schools through concrete testimonies. Young people can then interact with professionals who show them that succeeding independently is possible: “We believe that the model is really a powerful engine… for them to project themselves into the future and make informed career choices,” confirms the General Delegate of 100 000 entrepreneurs.
For nearly 10 years, the association has been continuously active: “This fall, we will celebrate the millionth young person who has been able to meet entrepreneurs!” concludes Béatrice Viannay-Galvani.
