In France, the level of financial education remains insufficient. "International assessments rate us 12.5 out of 20, while an acceptable level would be around 16 out of 20", announces Julidé Ninek.
This lack of training can have significant consequences. "The first thing is, when you are not financially educated, you are dependent on others", she emphasizes, mentioning the risks of poor financial choices, scams, or even over-indebtedness in a society that encourages consumption.
To address this issue, Moneykiiz is developing a fun application aimed at children from the age of 9 and their parents. It offers content on budgeting, credit, cryptocurrencies, and responsible consumption through videos, exercises, and quizzes.
For Julidé Ninek, financial education should also find its place in schools. "We learn to write, math, technology. Financial education has been distant from the school system", she recalls, while praising recent initiatives aimed at making it more widespread.
Beyond teaching financial concepts, Moneykiiz aims to combat social inequalities. "The goal is also to democratize financial education to allow everyone to access what is still considered a social privilege today", concludes Julidé Ninek.
