“Onze de légende”. In this documentary, Caroline Delage allows autistic children to play football with neurotypical children: “Some autism specialists told us it was completely crazy... others, on the contrary, thought it was interesting to rely on the values of sports and teamwork to try to overcome certain difficulties,” explains the producer, proud to have filmed this documentary over six months.
This initiative has borne fruit. The children quickly learned to turn their differences into a collective strength: “It has brought them [the autistic children] undeniable progress in terms of concentration, motor skills, communication, and socialization.”
The project, replicated in various French cities, has been praised by the Minister of Sports, Health, and People with Disabilities, as well as the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron. And the training continues!
Caroline Delage is convinced that children embody a perfect idea of what inclusion is: “Openness to difference is something fundamental, essential to building a different, more inclusive, more tolerant, and more supportive society tomorrow.”
