Launched a year ago, Terroir Lab, supported by the Fusion Jeunesse association, addresses the challenges facing the wine industry, such as the lack of attractiveness of jobs, declining enrollment in agricultural high schools, and the economic challenges to be faced. Through workshops and hackathons organized in major wine estates, students come up with solutions to reinvent the future of the sector.
For Gabriel Bran Lopez, young people should not be mere observers. "Giving a voice to young people is not just about saying talk to us, it's about listening to them, and then applying it correctly." The ideas presented to professionals cover innovation, wine tourism, the environment, and new uses for grapes.
In one year, 150 learners have participated in the program and proposed over 30 innovations. This demonstrates that new generations can contribute to transforming the industry.
