Ayúdame 3D was born with a simple yet revolutionary idea: to use three-dimensional printing to improve the lives of vulnerable people anywhere in the world. Its founder, Guillermo Gauna-Vivas, transformed a personal project into an NGO capable of providing prosthetics and assistive devices for free to those who need them most.
The initiative began after a trip to Kenya, where Guillermo delivered his first 3D-printed arms. The experience opened his eyes to the potential of this technology to reduce inequalities and restore autonomy to hundreds of people. “3D printing has given us the ability to help many people, and it has changed their lives in the sense that they can be more independent,” he states.
Today, Ayúdame 3D is a global network that designs, prints, and ships prosthetics from Spain and through collaborators worldwide. With over 700 people directly benefited and more than 20,000 supported with other devices, the project demonstrates that innovation and social impact can grow hand in hand.
