The Impact Partners project was born in Paris in 2007 and today they are present in Barcelona, London, Milan, Copenhagen, and Frankfurt, with the goal of building a European investment platform “very grassroots”, as Elena Rico explains.
For Rico, a telecommunications engineer by training, these offices allow them to understand the social issues of each territory and deploy their investment capacity “understanding that diversity”. However, having social impact does not conflict with profitability: “Social impact means investing to seek profitability but only in those companies that can demonstrate they have a social impact, that improve the quality of life for people or the planet”, she says.
This is how Impact.Info was also born, which after giving voice to social impact entrepreneurs in France, now aims to do so at the European level with the launch of Impact.Info in Spanish and soon in English. “As we are strong believers that this makes sense and that the world of the future will be better for everyone if there are more social impact investors, we want to contribute to that vision by giving voice at the European level to those who are moving to ensure this ecosystem continues to grow and to explain those success stories, which are quite a few and very interesting”, Rico assures.
