Tekman was founded over 15 years ago with the firm conviction that the educational model needed to evolve. The project arose from frustration with a system that did not always place students at the center. “The innovation studied at universities and research centers must reach the classroom; it cannot be left behind,” says Del Pozo.
Its approach proposes moving from simple content transmission to active methodologies that develop key competencies and encourage student engagement. A change that, for Tekman, is only possible if teachers feel supported.
According to Del Pozo, each classroom may have up to 13% of students with special educational needs or students requiring specific support, and Tekman seeks to provide resources to address this diversity with a proposal that combines play, manipulation, and emotion at all stages, as well as tools to measure progress in both academic skills and abilities such as critical thinking and autonomy.
